If you go to the SaabUSA website right now and hit ‘current offers’ there doesn’t seem to be much on the table except for customer loyalty cash, which is paid to owners of post-1994 Saabs. Current amounts for that are $1,000 for Saab 9-3 models and $1,500 for the Saab 95 and 9-7x.
That’s what they’re telling you on the website.
Tedjs has stumbled across a current offers summary from Automotive News that tells a different story. I’ve pulled a few screenshots here for you to look at. Click to enlarge:
That image shows that there seem to be some customer incentives on the Saab 9-3 and 9-7x, which I’d assume to be cash on the hood, that SaabUSA aren’t mentioning on their website at this point. Somewhere between $0 and $4,500. Maybe they’re both at $0, but then why would Automotive News be writing about it at all? It’s worth asking the question….
Then there’s this one:
This one shows that there’s some dealer cash as well. My understanding of this is that this is money provided by Saab on each car that the dealer can eat into to provide a good deal. It effectively lowers the cost of the car to the dealer (if I’m thinking straight).
If they sell to you at a higher price, then more for them.
If you’re in the market and want a copy of the pdf to wave around at your dealership, then email me and I’ll send it along.
UPDATE - Wulf tells me that certain Saab dealers are displaying the dealer cash at their own websites. Here’s an example from Saab of Santa Ana in California.
I guess it’s worthwhile checking your local dealer wesbites first to see what they’ve already got on offer.

This isn’t being advertised so much, but I’ve covered it here on the site in the last few months.
The passing of the 2008 model year will see the passing of the Employee Pricing on the Saab 9-3. To anyone who’s had access in the past, your time to act on it if you’re keen on a 9-3 is running out.
Earlier today I saw a copy of an email GM are sending around internally, promoting the program for 2008 models and reminding staff that it’ll be over soon. Unfortunately, I’ve not got that email with me at the moment, but I’ll add the text to this post later today.
