2,000km trips for a service. Naming your kids after Saabs. Privately importing your diesel Saab 9-3 into the US?
All are examples of hardcore.
Here’s a new one.
The arm belongs to a guy over at SaabCentral who goes by the handle Ajaiello85. Click to enlarge:
Yep. It’s the Gryphon, in ink, and permanent. Now that’s hardcore commitment, although I guess if Ajaiello85 goes off Saabs he can always claim an extraordinary enthusiasm for Swedish heraldry in general.
I don’t have any tatts. I like them, but I think you need to have a certain extroverted streak to pull it off. I certainly don’t have that. My favourite tattoo of all time is one Tommy Lee got in his early days with motley Crue, an image of Mighty Mouse flying through a bass drum. I always thought that was pretty cool, but it’s only cool on Tommy Lee and I think an equivalent image would look stupid on me.
I also worry about what it would look like when I get old. I’m big on dignity for older people, which is why I think many kids names these days are laughable. I can’t imagine a 65 year old guy named Jayden (and I apologise if there’s any Jaydens out there). There’s going to be a lot of saggy Celtic armband tattoos going ’round in 20 years from now.
Anyway, much respect on the tattoo.
Ajaiello85 - you are hardcore!
