Our T-shirt provider, Spreadshirt, is having a back-to-school sale and it doesn’t matter whether you’re at school or not – everyone gets the discount!

The discount applies at the US shop only, but I’m pretty sure anyone can order from the US shop so don’t let your location put you off. The discount does not apply to postage.

Jeremy recently sent me a shot of his shirt, which he created with our TS Custom Shop designs in the Do It Yourself version of the shop. In the DIY shop, you can mix and match whatever shirt and design you like. You can even add your own customised text.

A tip for new players: several designs are multi-colored. You can select and change any of the colors in the design to make look as you wish. If you make them all the one color (as in the TS design above) then it’ll be a lot cheaper. If you have multiple colors (like the turbo gauge below) then it’ll be more expensive.

I just ordered a dark blue polo shirt with a griffin logo on the front and www.trollhattansaab.net on the back – all using the DIY shop linked above. I got the shirt and delivery to Australia for under US$30 (in total) by using the coupon code for a $4 discount.

UPDATE – Simon’s noted in comments that the shipping cost seems to be expensive. The first option that Spreadshirt offers for shipping is their priority delivery system, which will get the shirt to you faster etc etc. This is an expensive option.

Just under that option, there should be an option for USPS shipping. It takes a little longer, but for us Aussies, it’s a lot cheaper (around $12 instead of $30 for the fast option). They say it takes up to 6 weeks this way, but the shirt I ordered last year arrived in three or four weeks.

Black is the new black.

Black is cool, even when it’s hot. It’s dark, mysterious and deliberate. Black burbles through rhomboid exhausts. And it grips.

Seen a red door? Paint it black.

Summer is upon us here in the Northern Hemisphere. At least I think it is. We’ve experienced a bit of Dogwood Winter here, but summer should be around the corner.

Very cool what you can do with the color changes (you can make any graphic any color or combination of colors) and some of the great shirts they’ve added recently. My previous purchase was a large Griffin logo in gold and red on a chocolate brown shirt. Very good-looking shirt, if I do say so myself.

If anyone can tell me what “flocked” color means, please describe in comments. I think that it means weathered/uneven color, but I’m not sure.

For you antipodeans, I suggest checking out the long-sleeved cotton/bamboo blend shirt. A little roomier than some, it appears. Not that any of you are looking thick around the middle or anything, I just like clothing a little loose-fitting for comfort.

All of the designs in our shop are ones that Ivan has put together and there’s quite a range to choose from. One other thing you may not know is that if you can’t find something you like and there’s a design you’d like to have made up, Ivan can do it for you.

It’s been quite a while since I last did a T-shirt update on the site and seeing there’s a number of people who are new around here, I thought it’d be a good thing to let everyone know about the new custom shop we’ve set up.

I’ve been offering Saab T-shirts for sale for some time now, but up until recently you could only choose from the products Ivan and I put together.

Now we have a new setup available whereby you can choose exactly the combination of garment and design that you want.

As you can see there’s a huge selection of shirt styles and colors. You choose your shirt, and then the fun starts. The designs are all pre-loaded but you can choose to put it on the back, the front, or either sleeve. You can re-size it and rotate it. You can even change the colors in the design if they’re not to your liking.

I haven’t written about the various Saab T-shirts available here for some time now, but there’s been two big developments recently, one of which only lasts for a few more days.

The biggest development is that you’re no longer limited to the range of design-and-garment combinations that we’ve put together. Spreadshirt has enabled a facility whereby you can choose your own design and choice of garment from their huge range of options.

Ivan’s created a bunch of Saab designs and they’re all available in the shop, as well as my original Trollhattan Saab shirts.
