Big Saab Convertible Pictures
Due to public demand I’ve loaded up some big versions of the white Aero Convertible pics here.
These were prepared by Saab Oz for the local launch here. I’ve also cropped out the offending spelling on the originals.
I’ve resized the landscape images to 1920 pixels wide, so they should be OK for a big widescreen, though you may have to customise them a little. I’m not going to do all your work for you. Too tired.

I wrote a story a little while back on the situation with the Canadian dollar reaching parity with the US dollar. This caused a fair bit of concern for car shoppers because Canadian car prices are so much higher than comparative prices in the US. It’s actually stronger than the US$ at the moment so the difference is even more marked.
Autoblog have a story about a website that’s sprung up to help Canadians with their cross-border automotive purchasing. Those that commented here seemed pretty savvy on it anyway, but a little detailed help never hurts.

I’m not familiar with Vehix at all, but they’ve got Saabs listed at numbers 5 and 6 of their top 10 list of luxury cars under $35,000.
I suppose that’s a good thing, but it’s a bit of a worry when they’re rating the 2007 models instead of the 2008 and the accompanying picture is of a Saab 9-5. #1 on the list was a Buick Lacrosse and #2 was an FJ Cruiser. Go figure.
How do people secure funding for these sites?

It’s time for another Saab desktop wallpaper for use on your Mac or PC, preferably in widescreen mode so you don’t have to fiddle around too much.
This image was shot by Benn. The car is owned by RJ in San Diego and if that combination of car/owner/photog sounds familiar, well, they provided a SOTW shot back in December 2006.
This image was shot on the historic rounte CA-163, which apparently the late JFK referred to as “the most beautiful highway in America”. It certainly looks good here with a nice Saab riding it

It’s been supplied by Adrian E in the US. He saw the tagline some time ago and decided to make something up based on it. It’s a perfect image for the purpose, if you ask me.

Saab Desktop Wallpaper No. 8
It’s time for another superb desktop wallpaper, number eight in the series.
This image comes to us from Abery Clark, who was out and about shooting some landscapes recently and noticed this reflective angle on his 9-5. As he viewed the final product he was reminded of some of Saab’s own imagery from the late 1990s and thought he’d send it in for use on the site.
Abery has high quality copies of the image in various sizes available for sale (without the TS mark and credits, of course) if anyone is interested. He can be contacted via email.

TS Wallpaper No. 6
It’s time for another wallpaper.
I’m making these every now and then from the best of the best photos that come across my virtual desk.
This one was taken, whilst driving, but Paul H right here in Australia. Paul was on a car club outing in his 635CSi (he has a 9-5 wagon, too) and snapped this shot of Craig D’s Saab 900 in motion.
It’s a sensational photo and well worth a spot amongst the wallpaper collection here.
