Trollhattan Saab has changed!
The site you're viewing now is the original Trollhattan Saab weblog, though it's now an archive only and no new material is posted here. As of February 2009, all new material is posted at our new site - Saabs United.
Please join us at Saabs United and get your daily Saab fix from Saab sources all around the world.
Following on from his initial effort, covered yesterday, “keeneyes” has produced another 2010 Saab 9-5 silhouette based on spyshots that we’ve seen already.
As ELBOBO said in comments “I haven’t seen it, but I have a feeling you’re darn close”. And I hope that’s right because this looks very tasty indeed.

After a good debut last year, it looks like our unofficial Saab ambassador in the UK, Robin M, is organising another Swedish Day UK for 2009.
Last year’s gathering was a real success with a decent bunch of Saabs and even a couple of Ovlov’s turning up.
Details will be published here once they come to hand, like now, for instance.

All going well, this website will cease as an active site from next weekend and will become an archive. You’ll directed to the new site automatically.

About the pic – funny how all the efforts made it look like the car seems to have been pasted onto a quarry shot…

I like this silhouette much better than the BMW sibling you published yesterday.
You can see this will be a large car – let’s hope they can sell it in these days.

Thank you for the mention Swade. We are trying to grow the show slowly. A couple of companies will be joining us this year. Hope to get more. The local Saab dealer will be there with “new/old spare parts” and an insurance company will be offering discount policies to Saab and Volvo owners. The Saab Owners Club will waver the joing fee if joining the club on the day. Looking good. Just got to book the weather.

I still think the trunk lid will “aim” a bit lower since we have had the Jaguar XF reference so many times. ( also somewhat like the notch-back 99 or 900 sedan) Just a tiny bit. Hopefully someone who has seen the car can reply again….

ELBOBO,
I think you are right, I haven’t seen the car yet, but what I’ve seen looked more like a 900 than a 7 series.

Those 9-3 convertible shots just reminded me that a black SAAB 9-3 Tid Linear sedan is the best looking of the company cars at work!

Hello again, the impression is getting close to the final car. The C pillar is the same on the final car, but the side crease that is under the windows extends all the way to the end of the car, to the trunk, it does not terminate at the rear side window. The headlights are not wrap around like the current 9-3, look at the current 9-5, and you will see the direction that saab wil take the new car.

Love the picture, multiple exposures merged into a single shot. HDR I believe. I can’t wait for summer, I want to take shots like these. But at -30, I’m staying inside.

I fully give “Keeneyes” credit here for 98 % of this but I modified it based on what Ascariss said and my belief about the trunk. Again credit where credit due I did not do the bulk of this.

Hi Patrk,
almost everyone’s headlights are wrapped arround, so why not keep with good old “Damme Edna” headlights ?
You say they are ugly, I say they are different.
From the current 9-5 I like the front better than the tail, because the tail is too “normal”.
Cheers

Oh good lord, SAAB wouldn’t dare keep that front end on the newer 9-5… uh oh…

Just connecting the dots and trying to read Ascariss right.
