January was a nice consistent month here at TS. Traffic was down on last month, but then we didn’t have a bombshell like the GM restructuring plan in December.
There were 251,000 page loads during the month, an average of 8,098 pages viewed per day. That’s 2,000 per day less but it’s been a relatively quiet month, so I’m pretty happy maintaining last year’s average.
Whilst there were less page views in January, we actually had more visitors. 4,000 more, in fact. There were 54,210 unique visitors during January 2009 compared with just over 50,000 in December 2008.

Anton, there were 528 pageviews (239 visits @ 2.2 pages per visit) from Latvia for the month. The vast majority from Riga.

OK, the number of visits for the countries requested (remember, these are visits rather than pageviews as recorded in the post. A visit usually comprises multiple pageviews)
New Zealand: 272 visits, most of which were from Auckland and Christchurch. No stats available on human vs sheep visitation.
Namibia – 3 visits recorded (from Windhoek). There were 212 visits from South Africa.
Romania: 696 visits with nearly 200 from Cluj region. Most were from Bucharest.
Portugal: 863 visits. Most from Lisbon but pretty well spread out. 75% are recurring visitors.
I’ll only do three maps a month but I might look at ways to present the top 20 countries in a graph or something for future months.
