SaabUSA are advertising loyalty bonuses again, except you don’t need a Saab 7 years old or younger to qualify anymore.
The loyalty bonuses being offered now on the Saab USA site are available to people with any GM vehicle made in 1999 or later!
The bonus seems to be $1,000 in loyalty cash but you can combine it with the discounts that are already available. The customer cash available amounts to $1,500 on 2009 models making for a total incentive of $2,500.
If you’re comfortable with a 2008 vehicle, that’s where the bonuses really start to stack up. The smallest cash incentive is $4,000 on the 2008 Saab 9-3 range (yep, convertible, too!) and goes right up to $8,500 on the 2008 Saab 9-7x.
Add the loyalty bonus and you’re getting between $5,000 and $9,500 off a 2008 Saab.
Thanks Mike!

My son is looking to buy a Sports Combi. My advice was that he should do like me and wait for a 9-1(or is it 9x). I told him that Swade just bought a ‘handyman special’.
We should do a survey to see what type of Saab would be bought by readers: 9-1, 9-3, new 9-5, handyman special, antique Saab etc.

someone please tell SaabUSA that some Saabistas have dial-up and cannot even visit the website.
@Vagabond - I still wish I had restored my 1987 900 hatch instead of buying my 1999 9-3. That 900 was a great car - the body was fine, but I succumbed to the idea that it was time for a change after only 13 years.

Here is how it is on 2008’s
9-3’s up to $7,000 on 2.0’s. Up to $9000 on Aeros and converts.
9-5’s up to $7500
9-7x’s uo to $15,500 (that’s right 15k)
on 2009’s;
9-3’s up to $4500
9-5’s up to $5500
9-7x’s Up to $15,500. (yep 15k)
There is also 0% for up to 60 months on 2008’s. Dont take it! The rebates are a better deal.
The loyalty is a flat $1000 across the board on all 2008 and 2009’s.
The one rebate that is tricky is the one if you are in or coming out of a lease that expires before the end of september. It is;
$2,000 on a 2008 9-3 2.0
$4,000 on a 2008 Aero or Convert.
$2,000 on all 2009 9-3’s
$2,000 on a 2008 9-5
$3,000 on a 2009 9-5
$ 6,000 on a 2008 9-7x
$10,000 on a 2009 9-7x

How do you get $15,500 on an 08 9-7x???
Can you break down that for me please?!?!
I’m a GM Employee, so I get GMS plus incentives too, and I do not have a leased vehicle.

Nevitz,
You would qualify for $9,500
$8500 for everyone
$1000 GM/Saab Owner Loyalty
———
$9500
If you had a lease you would get an additional $6000

Gotcha! Thanks for the heads up. Now I see where the other $6k comes from. The total is less, last week it was $10,000 instead of $9,500. Too bad no one will give me what I need for trade on either my 9-5 or 9-3 Combi!

My father just got a call from a dealer in Oklahoma who said they had 08 9-5s at 12K off MSRP. We live in Dallas so for them to be contacting him they must be desperate.

@saabluster, with all due respect, and having just thoroughly enjoyed the dvd of 1999 Hugh Jackman’s glorious singing in the musical Oklahoma!, wtf is a Saab dealer doing in Oklahoma?
sorry, could not resist the sad irony.

Believe it or not, we’ve got ourselves 3 Saabillac dealerships in Oklahoma - we actually had a new Saab franchise in Norman (home of the Univ. of Okla Sooners) just last year!
