I don’t know if your local Saab club got up to anything last weekend. it certainly looks like some Saab clubs were busy though.
I had heaps of Saab photos on my Flickr feed this morning and thought I’d give them some air time here. It’s always good to see people out and about celebrating their Saabiness.

This group of Saab 900 owners had a good turnout. Some beautiful vehicles there, too, especially the yellow convertible.
No location given.

There was another Saab meeting elsewhere (again, no location given), with a few very tasty classics in attendance.

This guy’s photo has a caption reading “use as unmarked police vehicle undercover”.
One could suggest that posting it on the internet is going to blow the undercover status of the vehicle.

Some Saab nuts got together in Finland……
……including the driver of this Turbo X. How good does that look?
And by the way, here in Australia last night we had the episode of Top Gear where James May is taught how to drive on dirt by Finninsh ex-F1 ace, Mika Hakkinen. Fantastic story, that. While Clarkson is the clown element and the glue on the show, May is really coming of age and providing some entertaining and worthwhile stuff. Thouroghly enjoyable.

Someone spotted a sad old Saab 96 in Iceland. Don’t you just want to take it home and care for it?
——
And finally, in case you needed any more convincing that this is the best looking concept car this year, here’s another rear view of the Saab 9-X Air from Detroit.

I can’t say that the lines of that 9X Air do much for me. It looks like it had a kick up the rear, resulting in the metalwork bunched over the rear wheel.

Yep, the members of “Saab Club of Finland” have their regional gatherings quite regularly.
For example the members located in Southern Finland have their regular meetings twice a month.
It’s almost considered as a “routine”
The most active members will reserve 2-3 hours of their schedule for this gathering which will take place on every second week’s Thursday.
It’s like a way of life
