In posting my Cadillac marketing suggestions earlier today, I mentioned that Gregg Z had seen as many Porsche Panamera mules as he had seen Cadillacs in his area. One of each to be exact.
With thanks to Gregg, here’s the Panamera wearing just some very light striping to fool the uneducated.
I know the car’s been shown online officially now, but it’s still rare at this stage to see one on the road, so here you go.
And by the way, I got this Christmas card in the electronic mail today.
So that’s how these spy photogs manage to hide!!

Looks:
a) Ridiculous
b) just plain ugly
… can’t really decide.

Some of the (non-saab) designs I believe Michael Maurer was involved:
-concept version of smart roadster + smart roadster coupe
-first gen. mercedes viano
-first gen. mercedes SLK
At the moment his 9-X is my favorite, followed by the smart roadster coupe.
Concerning the Panamera, I’m not convinced yet by the leaked picts and the first official picts. However final judgement I’ll make after seeing it in the flesh. Looks a bit to bulky for a Porsche and has the proportions of a rare 4-door Bristol of the fifties.
Well, the Panamera is a hatch …
Maybe he had some kind of über-saab in mind (without telling this to his boss).

I actually think it looks Saabish. Isn’t this what the 9-5 is going to look like?

I just think it looks ridiculous.
Adam, I hope the 9-5 is better looking than this!! Then again, ANYTHING would look better than this ‘thing’. If this is the best Michael Mauer could do he shows a genuine lack of imagination as it reminds me of a four door VW Beetle!

The Panamera is very distinctive. I think it is more noteworthy than the four door Aston-Martin, which is just a hash of other Astons.

Its a hatchback.
Its a Porsche.
It will be amazing.
Note to self: Sell house to finance Panamera.

Vies with the Mercedes R class for fugliest distinction.
Whereas Mercedes CLS (it’s real competitor) is hands-down more beautiful.
