Ken, AFAICT, the nose points upwards soon after take-off and at the end of the flight points downwards.

In addition, notice the clearance between the wheels and the wheel well? I think it would be easier to do this in real life, rather than spend hours photoshopping everything…

Would be interesting to view the original footage, frame by frame. Too bad they missed the landing. And too bad that guy is yelling “I peed myself” (“boomalacka!” “lacka” = “leak” and “boom”… well… boom is boom — i.e. a sudden leak) so loudly at the end, but I guess that part can be edited out for the American markets.

So, maybe there were some truth in the BFJ slogan after all?

The video has all the trademarks of a fake. Shaky camera and lost focus at a crucial point, as the first giveaways. A 9-3 is noseheavy and one would expect it to dive in a jump, this car was the opposite.

Usually fakes like this are part of marketing, one can only speculate what the marketing object would be in this case. Saab gone creative?

There’s a few turns and bumps around here in Philly. I’ve even shaken the back loose on my X. What’s up with the whimps at Saab. They have the drivers for this stuff…they should make the ads and movies. Look what BMW films did.

that is a great jumping spot – nice take off ramp and most important a perfectly sloped landing zone. makes me think that this was not the first car jumped there!

impressive landing though. on the dukes of hazzard the front end of the car would always buckle on landing. not so with a Saab. maybe Bo and Luke should trade in the charger for an XWD General Lee.

Ps I’m with Wulf, that was daddy’s car.

Absolute legends? Hmmm, I see some school kids with daddy’s car or someone with a dealer loaner who has no respect for someone else’s property. Nobody in their right mind would do something like this with their own car. Especially on public roads.

Wulf, the sensible side of me agrees with you 100% and if the scenario you describe above is true, then it’s wrong and not OK.

But there’s another side of me that’s just very pleased that this vision exists. – SW
