Cash on the hood is idiotic and everybody knows it, The problem for GM is that they don't have better ideas at the moment, or since a long time actually.

Take the cash bonuses and use them in the EDP right away, the dollas hasn't been this strong against the crown for years. Now they can get some real mileage out of their meagre budgets.

If Saab USA has one ounce of sense left they will see this, but I'm not holding my breath.

The European Delivery program was one of the key reason I got initially interested in SAAB as a future replacement vehicle. The second reason was the Aero Sports Sedan model owners driving school at Road Atlanta.

With both of those incentives (currently) gone, I don't mind waiting, but wish they weren't. I'm sure it brought in additional car sales!

Fire sale end of year specials should not be part of the long-term business model. European delivery (whether used or not) adds to the perceived value of Saab cars while cash on the hood only confirms that the car is not worth the MSRP.
