There’s something I don’t understand about the neoprene seat cover colors. I emailed SoN once to ask, but they never responded. I would like the color shown in the photo (my seats are parchment), but when you go to the color selection, there’s nothing even close.

I love their stuff, but some of their stuff is obscenely overpriced. $25 for Forever Black? It’s $12 everywhere else.
But to be fair, the quality of their more ’saab-specific’ merchandise is awesome and worth every penny.

Swade,
Be careful with advertisment in the news-text. I know supporters are essential to the economy running a site. There is plenty enough ads on the page so be careful not to ruin the greatest saab site in the web. Keep up the “good” work.

Jorgen,
The number of ads is and always will be limited, but I’ve given an undertaking to advertisers to support them as they support me, which means passing on whatever special offers they might have going at the time. I also lobby them for discounts to pass on to TS readers so that it’s a service to visitors here as well as an opportunity for the advertisers.
Two more things:
1) This site would likely have passed on if advertisers hadn’t come on board last year.
2) The running of advertiser-related posts wll always be in addition to pure Saab-focused content. I never have and never will put off posting a Saab article because of a need to run an article related to a sponsor.
If you have no need to read an article to do with a sponsor, then you don’t need to click on the title.

Yurk:
I’d call them about that. It does seem strange that the pictured product isn’t available — I wonder if the color blocks below the picture are a little off. Most of these seat covers are custom-made so I’d think that they should be flexible on the color. Maybe it costs an extra few bucks, takes a little longer, etc.
The 10% discount may be the difference for me, too. The covers that are on the ‘vert are done, and they were the el cheapo variety anyway. I want good seats, and I was thinking of new skins altogether. However, the covers get me there for half the price more or less.

There’s a shipping offer coming up in the next few days for TS readers. Basic details came in this morning but I don’t have them to hand right now.

I disagree with Jorgen. I am very interested in Saab news, as well as special deals and Saab related products. I must say that I click on every special offer that you have listed, and think that this makes your excellent site BETTER, not worse, cheers Swade

A front license plate is required in California. Nevertheless I’m a rebel and risking a fine by driving around in my ‘85 900T with an Irish license plate a friend who used to live in Ireland gave me many years ago. It says “Baile Atha Cuath” at the top of the plate, which I’m told means “Dublin” in Gaelic.
A few years back I bought one of those oil change kits State of Nine sells. It came with Saab oil filter (the old blue one), a 4-liter bottle of Saab brand “Turbo Oil” (in that great grayish-blue color Saab uses for their parts packaging. I love that color. What’s it called? It’s kind of like a “slate blue” or something), a drain plug and drain plug gasket. It was nice to get a 4-liter bottle of oil. Here in the States where we inexplicably still package things in Imperial units you can only buy motor oil in quarts or five-quart sizes. The problem with this is my Saabs take 4-liters of oil, which equates to about 4.2 quarts. This means after every oil change I have a bottle of .8 quarts left-over…
This oil kit was great except that oil weighs so much that the shipping costs were pretty pricey. It’s still nice to know that it’s available if you need it.
I’d love if State of Nine were able to work out some sort of distributorship deal with Elkparts to offer Elkparts products to U.S.-based Saabers. Elkparts selection is great but after you tack on shipping costs to the U.S. it gets prohibitively expensive. Maybe SoN can work a deal with Elkparts and Hirsch!

Also, for feedback to your sponsors, I specifically made a significant purchase from SoN after remembering them due to the advertising on your site. So their sponsorship of TS is paying off.
