Saabnet has the most active classifieds, especially for the older cars like these.

Jesse: If there are 1985 2-doors out there, they were shipped very late in the model year and would be very few in number. I've never seen one nor seen any advertised.

Eggs,

The two-door was available in '85 as well. Still very rare indeed. I wonder if my 3-door 9-3 will ever be considered that rare.

Tom French is familiar with these cars and will be reviewing the cars over the next few weeks. He also suggested I get the word out on the SAABNET forum. Will do that after he takes a look and can provide additional "expert" details that I do not have yet ;-)

I will get some more pics this weekend and post.

Thanks.

Oy, and a rare bird with the '86 two-door. That was the only year that two-doors were available in the United States! They were also only available in the "S" level of trim. Nice!

I'll alert my friends at French's Foreign Car (an Arlington, Texas Saab indy). They have a couple of rusty two-strokers out back for parts and I'll bet they have a customer that would want these.

That 99 is a Belgian-built model if I'm not mistaken... it's a widely held belief that they had all rotted away by now.
