Of course, there’s the 9-X BioHybrid concept as a hardtop alterntive to the Air, but there’s just a certain something i like about this.

I love that look, but it would look even better with the traditional hockeystick C-pillar. That would really catapult the look from “sweet” to “iconic”

I agree with Alex, the traditional hockey stick look would be ‘very Saab’ and have better visibility too.
Unfortunately hockey sticks going the other way always conjure thoughts of AMC Gremlins. Surely not a good thing? Fortunately we were spared that model in Australia, but I still remember seeing ads for them in Popular Science when I was a kid.
Now we’re talking.
Altough I liked the initial 9XBH-idea with the liftup spoilers.
This is much closer to what I’d hoped the 9-X BH would look like. From a design standpoint it would’ve been the logical evolutionary sequence from SPG, to Viggen, to 9-X!! I don’t understand this refusal to take Saab’s strongest design cues (the Sixten Sason shapes) to the next level. Let everyone else build hatch designs with a vertical arse-end. Not everyone wants a car with the profile of a door-stopper!!
