Gregg, that’s unfortunate, but please understand that non-Saabs are welcome, too. Until hearing from Saab yesterday, I was going to be turning up in a Ford Explorer! If that’s the barrier, please don’t worry about it. If not, then all the best, esp with the move.

Swade: After sending you all those links about Seattle and BC footy (and who to call to get a guaranteed ringer position to play in the match)… looks like I can’t make it up. For a start, I’m Saabless for the first time since 1999– we’re moving to Germany at the end of the month, and I had to sell my beloved 9-5 (only the 204th to come off of the assembly line, and one of the oldest in North America). Fear not: I’ll continue to visit TS regularly, and your site has inspired me: I’m seriously looking into exporting Saab 90′s to the States– I’d never heard of this model until a few weeks ago! Hoist a pint for me, and happy motoring.

I won’t know exactly what it is until tomorrow (Thur), but the good news is in: I got a Saab to drive for the event!!

Despite the reference to SCS (the flogging loop), this is not an SCS “Sponsored” event, either – but I don’t think anyone cares, as long as there are Saabs to look at, and fans to talk to. Let’s just go have some fun.
