Hiatus Snippets

Give me a few days to get into break mode, OK? :-)

Actually, there’s three reasons for this post:

——

For those people who set up an RSS reader for the first time yesterday, hopefully you’re reading this in your RSS reader, maybe even your first post there.

If you’ve had trouble finding the TS feed, here it is:

    http://feeds.feedburner.com/trollhattansaab/ceTX

Just cut and paste that into your subscription field and the reader should do the rest.

——

Secondly, you all should remember the video that Kroum put together of Darth Vader morphing into the Turbo X. Autoblog were the first to call it the Official Car of The Sith, but it was Kroum that gave that name life.

I got this in my inbox this morning from Scot at Saab Of Hunterdon:

I attended Saab’s ride and drive for the Turbo X and Aero XWD system this week and after getting the opportunity to really drive these cars I have a whole new level of respect for the car and system. Both vehicles ran circles around a comparably equipped Audi and BMW.

Anyway, the funny part of the story is, awhile back one of your posters put together the Darth Vader video morphing into the Turbo X. Well, I was sitting in on the video presentation portion of the event and what pops up on the screen?? That video! Saab is actually using it for their national U.S. dealer training sessions.

To SaabUSA: I’m sure Kroum’s invoice is in the mail as we speak :-)

Here’s the video again to refresh your memories:

And finally, I thought it prudent to remind you that you can still get 20% off all custom and standard T-shirts in the Saab Design Shop.

I posted on this discount offer on May 28th and I ordered my own custom design on that day. I’m sitting here wearing it now, June 7th, with the shirt having arrived in my PO Box on June 5th!! That means the shirt was ordered, produced and dispatched from the US and arrived here in Tasmania within a week - and all for under $30.

The shirts in the shops aren’t just TS shirts - there’s all sorts of Saab designs in there. If you use the DIY shop, like I did, then you can pick the design you want, it’s color and size, you can add text like I did on the back - and you can place your design on the exact garment you want.

And until June 9th you get 20% off. To claim the 20% discount, you need to put the code DAD4 into the “coupon code” field when you check out.

Click here to visit the standard store (with pre-set products).

Make sure you pick the USPS shipping rather than the priority/expensive shipping. As you can see, it doesn’t take long to arrive via standard shipping.

hmm, did you buy the last dark blue polo? I like the color, but only see white, black, and light blue. guess I’ll settle for black.

      Nate,

Mine is the Jerzees polo shirt and in the DIY shop, it’s showing as being available in white and Nacy only. There must be two type of polo, perhaps?

Thanks for the link. I have no ides how the Google reader works. Sure enough, I didn’t get a notice about this post. Hopefully, it will work with the new address.
I can’t believe Saab USA used the video without asking. How classless can you get!

      Woo hoo! I am a celebrity. :D

Swade, mate have you considered a modeling career with Saab Reflective? ;)

Yeah, we’re a perfect match. Stupid looking head to go with a stupid idea of a clothing line :-)

      Swade,

Yup, found it. Two types indeed.

      Kroum,

That video is guaranteed to sell Turbo X’s. Strong work.

Who needs an RSS reader? My spider-sense was tingling and I knew there was something new posted on the site this evening.

Why else would I have fired up the laptop at midnight? :-)

RSS feed with the Blackberry, what can I say: on moment’s notice for the last 15 joyful months.

Time for an upgrade, the Curve, yay!

A question about RSS feeds for anyone who cares to answer:
Would the use of an RSS reader to view a blog (e.g. trollhattansaab) reduce the number of blog site hits, and thereby lose advertising revenue for the blog?

RSS feed for Blackberry and windows phones. I thought all of you would like to know a great program for your smart phone called Viigo. I believe you can go to http://www.getviigo.com on your phone browser and download. I have it currently on 2 blackberries and 2 windows based phones. I set set TS a long time ago and it has always been a joy to read any updates while sitting in Atlanta traffic or killing office time. Thanks for everything.
