GM United Kingdom launches Fleet Sales Site
Another quickie here. It seems the GM marketing staffers in the UK were sick and tired of their fleet sales site ranking near the bottom of the heap (BusinessCar.co.uk has the former site ranked 17th of 20). The new site has some great pictures of Saabs (I especially like the ones of the 9-5. Who says that car is ugly?), and it has a disturbing picture of the Chevrolet Epica racing around a corner without a driver at the wheel. Yikes!
As Business Car says, the new site is “snappily titled” gmukfleethub.co.uk.

One minor correction. Like most of the European Chevrolet’s, the Epica is based on a Daewoo platform (V250) and not on the US market Malibu’s Epsilon platform. The older version of the car was sold in the US for a brief time as the Suzuki Verona and in Canada as the Chevy Epica.
Thanks, Eric. Post repair complete. The front fascia threw me off. Very much the same design as the new Malibu.
No problem.
After living in Germany for a while I didn’t see too many of the “Euro” Chevy’s, but from the advertising they came across as a Korean lineup with an American name and appearance. It’s kind of too bad because some of the recent GMDAT vehicles have been improving steadily in quality (reminds me of the improvements Hyundai has made in the last decade).
