Her name is Barbara and back in the early 1970s she was a newlywed whose husband had a very unusual car. It was a blue Saab Sonett V4, made in 1969.

Now in her 50s, Barbara is a lawyer, writes a blog in her spare time and is chronicling a few of their Saab adventures. Those adventures include cross country trips, freewheeling in the Sierras, wife swappers in Palo Alto, Guitar Player magazine, Joan Baez visiting the neighbors, French Horn recitals, Transcendental Meditation and a window wiper that decided to retire from active duty whilst in the middle of active duty.

I’m not normally given to recommending the reminiscences of female lawyers in their 50’s. Nothing against that, per se, it’s just not the usual demographic for a motoring website.
