That sticker is nothing. I saw a car in Taiwan that was a Nissan where the owner had actually replaced all the plastic/chrome Nissan badges with the Mercedes three-point star. It was so obviously not a Mercedes but I guess for some people the label is everything.
On a couple of occasions I have seen a Honda Accord in my neighborhood with a huge Alfa Romeo sticker in the back window. Alfas are really rare here, but there is a guy in the area with a beautiful Milano. Maybe it’s the same guy, and the sticker is his way of saying, “My other car is an Alfa Romeo.”
I saw a Tamil(South Indian) movie where the hero drove a Daewoo Cielo with an Audi badge. They might as well have tried three-point star since not many are aware of Audi.
Lot of truck driver have there Scania Chicken Icon (which happens to be the Saab Chicken as well) on their every day car (and this can be what ever brand you could imagine)
i saw a vw with the griffen on it…some kid was defending it as saying something like “its cool looking and no one really knows what it means anyway”
that makes my blood boil.
Seriously, of late I’ve seen a couple of Hondas that I thought were migrating toward the look of the 9-5. Maybe it’s just me, but there are growing similarities in style.
I remember seeing a comment by Swade here on TS about Toyota being an excellent car or something… Or, was it just a dream?
A nightmare, more like it!
They’re an excellent transportation appliance, I guess. Like having an excellent toaster or fridge.
