New Turbo X watch

Turbo X watchElkparts have just let me know that Saab have released a new, limited edition, Turbo X wristwatch.

I can’t tell you much more about it because Saab don’t even have it up on the expressions website just yet. You’re hearing about it before anyone else.

As you can see, it’s a pretty classy unit, though, and if you’re piloting an X then it might be worth your consideration. If you’re like me and you’re not piloting an X, at least you could count the minutes until one pops up for sale at a price you can manage :-)

Rumours of it having XWD and keeping your wrist incredibly steady around corners are as yet unfounded. However, I do have faith that it’ll keep time just as accurately as any watch from BMW, Audi, or Volvo.

  1. I love watches, but I don’t have much faith in no-brands. I’d love to see a Saab watch by Tag Heuer, Breitling or something like that, then I’d buy it!

  2. If it didn’t say SAAB or TurboX would anyone buy it? Like Edonis, I wish they would start with a nice brand before slapping SAAB on it. Only then IMHO would it be worth the money.

  3. Guy’s I own over 40 watches and do a good amount of collecting. I own three Saab watches purchased through Elkparts and they are nice units. No they are not the quality of the Breitling (Beritling does make a unit to go with the Bently) but, It’s all about automobila and fun. It’s nice to put the top down on a nice day and look over my Saab watch… It’s just fun. When I want true quality I’ll pull out the Rolex…

  4. Mike,

So how are the other Saab watches?
At that price, I imagine that they are at least European or Japanese and not some cheap watch with a leaking battery and a strap that won’t last a full week.
Have you opened the bonnet and had a look at the movement?

  5. Bernard: The other Saab watches that I have, again are not of any major quality to speak of. Very simple battery movement. What I do like about them is the syle. One has a bib square (almost “Curvex” type shape to the face with the 9-3 insignia located at the proper number settings with a nice back drop. The other watch has the Saab logo in a sharp blue and red. For a few hundred bucks it’s just fun to own and have around the house as a Saab fan. I make it a point to have one of my Saab watches on when I bring my car to the dealer for service. It makes for good conversation with the Saff. It’s just fun…
