UPDATED!!
Saab of Hunterdon isn’t the only one getting it’s Turbo X’s on the floor and out the door.
Shortly after posting that entry yesterday I received an email from Herb Chambers Saab in Boston. Our man on the scene, Alex G, concurred with previous reports that the car is tighter than a Scotsman’s purse and sounds like the wrath of the gods when provoked.
The following pics were included. I’m not sure if this little baby’s spoken for yet, but I’ll update you as soon as I know. As covered in comments, this particular Turbo X is sold, but Alex tells me they’ve got another TEN coming in with a mix of body styles and transmissions. Two are pre-ordered already.
I’ve also emailed a dealer I know on the left coast to see if they know when theirs are coming in.

I’m pretty sure the car is sold. Look at the sold sign in the front window.

Looking forward to driving Saab’s mean jet black sedan.

Swade,
I just spoke to Alex at Herb Chambers in Boston and that Turbo X is spoken for. Hoping to get over to see it before delivery!

My dealer still has no invoice for my Turbo X, even though it arrived last week and I drove it on Saturday. He tried to compute lease pricing today, but the web tool didn’t know what a Turbo X was.
I may still be able to take the car home tonight, but if not, it will need to wait until Friday because of travel plans.

I checked out the the pictures Wulf mentioned over at Saab Central (very nice, btw) and there’s the same wheel gap we saw in the pictures a XWD Aero posted on Saab Central this past weekend. Do the US spec XWD cars ride higher? I thought the Turbo X was to be lowered 10 mm over the Aero (I was thinking the FWD Aero, at that), but it doesn’t appear to be the case.

How much of the car is actually Saab-designed and how much has been forced by GM itself? Hard to think Saab would go with a rwd configuration when it adds much more weight and more things to break!

My dealer has the May lease rates and we’ve agreed to a price. I pick up my Turbo X on Friday afternoon!
