Yet another pink Saab

I think it’s a little more than coincidental that many of the pink Saabs we’re seeing are convertibles. The ladies like their drop-tops.

This one was spotted by Dan S recently. It’s a better job than most, though it’s still pink.

Click here, here and here for just a few of the previous pink editions.

There’s got to be a rule somewhere against this, hasn’t there?

  1. I just threw up in my mouth.

What’s the deal with those wheels? It looks like they are missing a spoke. Some sort of illusion caused by the shutter speed?

  2. That’s hideous. I have a rule that says that no car should be painted a color that looks like it could be a lipstick or fingernail polish color (aside from your basic red).

A true pastel pink looks ok on cars from the ’50s and early ’60s, but that’s bad.

  3. I noticed the missing spokes, too, when I was blurring the license plate image. I’m sure it was something to do with the camera phone shutter speed – not my doing…

Kind of strange, I was surprized the shutter was able to freeze what spokes it could see at about 65mph!

  4. In the US, there is a cosmetics company called Mary Kay. She was/is famous for rewarding her sales force with pink Caddy Sedan Deville. I have seen some of her other offerings, like various Pontiacs and most excruciatingly, Caddy Escalades. It would not surprise me if they can get a hold of other GM offerings, like SAAB and Hummer (thought I could not pinpoint her work to the few pink Hummers running around Dallas, but you never know…)

  5. Yuk! Looks like the same shade as a bottle of nail polish I got given to use as thread locking paint where I worked once!

  6. Good grief!! Those things could be considered a road safety hazard……..I’m quite sure I’d PASS OUT COLD if I saw one on the open road!!!! How could someone do that to a beautiful Saab???

    …SHEESH…..
