Robin M, out unofficial Saab ambassador in the UK, has been rather busy organising a Swedish car show and the day is nearly upon us.
Swedish Day UK happens this Sunday, the 27th April.
The venue for the event has changed, too. It’s now at the Haynes Motor Museum near Sparkford, which is only a decent spit from Queen Camel, a drop punt from Sutton Montis and a decent country lane from Sandford Orcas. No, I didn’t make any of those place names up.
Entry for Swedish Day UK is free, so you can loiter about and check out the Swedish machinery and then check out the stuff at Haynes’ Motor Museum at a reduced price (for Saab and Volvo drivers).
I’m not sure who’s on the entry list though I assume there’ll be representation from Robin’s entire extended Saab family (which is considerable) and I’ve heard whispers that two Saab Turbo X’s are scheduled to make the journey, both of which we’ve seen on these pages in the last week or so.
The whole idea is to come along, meet some like-minded Swede-appreciators and enjoy the day. You also get to have your say in deciding the best-in-show at the event (the Turbo X’s would have to win a concours, wouldn’t they?).

Thank you for the mention Swade. Saab came good today with the delivery of 3 sail flags, two banners (move your mind) and a few caps and flying discs to give away. Sadly nothing what so ever from Volvo, not even a flag from the local dealer, o well. Looking forward to a great day, as far as i’m aware there should be about 30 Saabs and one Volvo at last count.
It is going to rain, but I am going to get there- i hope lots of others do too.

I will certainly use one for the day, the rest will have their own folder. I know of two that are coming that I have used already. It will either be a turbo x or a very old one if anyone is brave enough to drive it over in the rain. Thank you for thinking of us and heres to a good day.

Crikey! If things in England stopped everytime there was a drop of rain you’d still be in the dark ages.
