Saturday Night Sick Snippets

Not feeling the best right now so this will be all you’ll get from me this evening….

——

Andy Rupert, whilst searching for Jaguar repair tips, happened upon this record of one guy’s visit to the Viggen Flight Academy way back in 1999.

There’s some great photos there. Real photos, too, taken on slide film and scanned into a PC like we used to do in the olden days!

Saab 9-3 Viggen

——

The Car Connection has an extra photo of the 9-4x that wasn’t included in the Autoblog tranche of photos from yesterday.

——

I’m very fortunate to married to a very beautiful lady with a smile that can pacify warring countries and melt cold steel. If you need further proof that beautiful women can be attracted to less than commercially attractive men, here’s my Maltese mate Joe and his Mrs, currently visiting our Saab UK unofficial ambassador, Robin M.

Only kidding, Joe. You’re a gem, cobber!

——

And finally, some experimental photography from a Saab convertible. Me like. Hit the link and you’ll see the convertible is quite nice!

——

If circumstances fell the right way, I’m not sure I could resist this.

Jesus. That MY08 9-3 is beautiful. I might like those rims more than my 04 Aero rims.

I’ll get you back for that swade :) but i do agree, she is much more than i deserve, been very blessed and very lucky, and she endorses my love for SAAB (and the money i spend on them) what else do i need? :)

      beautiful car, and lady Joe!

These Rims are nice on black! I would still get those Hirsch 3 spoke ones though. THEY ARE HOTTT!!

      That alfa=wow. What’s the hp/torque on that?

    • swade (Author) said:

HP is up in Viggen country, but torque is a reasonable amount less due to no turbo being involved. The interior and the note of the engine makes up for that, though :-)

    • Rogan said:

Yeah, the interior looks amazing from that picture…. I don’t think anyone should be lucky enough to have that AND a Viggen. Can’t wait to get some Alfas in the US again!

      Hi Swade,

Hope you’re feeling better - and heres to beautiful women who look beyond the surface!

As for the Alpha….not quite sure. One of my colleagues drives one of these and it does have its appeal but…….if you’re going to spend $20K i’d be looking at a 166 like this. But thats purely personal taste and you & could go on for days on those grounds. Shame its an auto.

I love that Viggen flight academy page… It’s been online for years and I love looking at it periodically!

Especially in the last few days, since I just bought a ‘99 Viggen!
