You might recall that in the build up to the Saab 9-X BioHybrid at Geneva, there was news of a Saab 9-5 Turbo Edition.

It’s a nice little package, this one. Take one Saab 9-5 Vector, give it a Hirsch tune to 220hp (up from 185), give it a Hirsch dual exhaust, new wheels and a new finish on the grille called Titaniumoptik. There’s an Aero version as well, which gets the enhancements noted above (except the tune) as well as some aluminum treatment in the center console.

The Turbo Editions have just started hitting the floor and I’ve received a couple of photos of a SportWagon to show you how it turned out. The good news is that you can probably order one right now if you’d like to. The bad news is that you can only order one in Switzerland.

I have seen this several months ago (I do not know since when this started): Saab Switzerland sells a package on top of the Aero which is called “Performance” with 300 hp. See the following link:

I do not know whether this is hirsch or something else

What a beauty, the only thing I would change would be the seat colour to black.

I love the matte-stainless headlight and grill surround. It gives it a much more upscale, modern look compared to the cheap plastic chrome on ‘06-’08 models. Put that kit in the ‘08 Saab Accessories catalog and you’ve got a buyer!

Hirsch now offer the satin finish grill for the 9-5 in the UK. The cost is £387.75 plus half an hours labour.
