More Saab XWD videos

The first two of these videos are in various languages so some of you won’t understand them.

If you’re like me though, you just love to see the Saab XWD 9-3 SportCombi in motion, so you’ll watch them anyway :-)

Very enjoyable stuff. I think one’s in French, I’m not sure about the other, and one’s to music only and features some great clips (has been shown before but deserves another run).

Ryan also has a link at saabhistory.com to a nice Pennzoil video ad featuring the 2008 9-3 Aero convertible (here).

      I agree : this a french test.

      For me main points :
      > at last, 9-3 comes efficient thanks to XWD… so much efficent that it is very difficult to reach the car limit on road… Furthermore this area of france (near Cassis, south coast) is very slopy, and very dangerous if you loose control (i.e He doesn’t want to go too far).
      > limits are reached on circuit (using TurboX model) for several reasons :
=> The front wheels can’t handle the torque delivered by the 2.8l Turbo
=> In their opinion, Torque repartition still deserve too much front wheels instead of rear wheels.
=> saldy, ESP comes in action too early

      As a conclusion :
      > good car with very secure comportment, especially in emergency situations (situation they don’t show in the test, sadly)
      > very easy to handle for any driver

Unfortunately, at the begining the driver annonces he want’s to compare this “new” 9-3 to BMW 3-series, Audi A4, or even Alfa-Romeo using 4 wheel drive system… and no more allusion to this comparison afterwards.

PS : Sorry for my poor english level, I wish I’m still understandable.

@aeronaut : come to france and you will be smiling at french people talking English, just look at me ;)
