The name Roger Cicero may not mean too much to those outside of Europe. He’s a swing singer with family roots in Romania, but living in Germany – the country he represented in the Eurovision song contest last year (see below).
Cicero is a Saab owner at the moment, but his 9-3 Convertible is selling on Ebay right now in conjunction with Saab Germany. The proceeds of the sale will be donated to Save The Children, a worldwide kids charity. The donation will be directed towards STC’s work in Romania.
The reason for the sale is that Mrs Cicero is about to squeeze out a little Cicero Jr and they don’t have room for all the baby gear. I assume Saab Germany are going to do the right thing and hook him up with a sweet deal on a SportCombi
The car is currently being auctioned on Ebay. The auction ends on April 10 and the winner will receive the car at a Cicero concert in Hamburg on April 12. I wonder if they’ll fly me there if I win it??
Here’s Cicero with the car and below is his Eurovision 2007 performance. Not bad at all (thankfully music’s a universal language!). I hope the sale goes well, as does the family expansion. He seems like a classy guy.

Wow! The back seat of his convertible has no leg room at all! It actually reminds me of my current car but worse.
In any event, it looks like a nice a car and a good cause.
I noticed the lack of rear leg room as well, but I guess you can squeeze someone in there if there is a need for it. However, I can’t seem to recall having seen many convertibles being occupied by more than one or max two occupants.
Eurovision song contest? Please.. I find it to be a joke, but we all have different tastes in music. (I’m not commenting on Cicero’s performance, just the contest in general). But Cicero has got a good taste in cars!
Rear legroom? Is that really an issue of concern in a convertible?
Hope people bid like crazy for that Saab. It´s for the right cause.
The Ebay sale is written about on his website http://www.roger-cicero.de/
Please take your time to listen to some of the music-clips on the site. Some of his music is swing, some of it Salsa, Some just pure pop music and ballads. Yes the text and lyrics is in german. Fortunate for me I´ve ´studied german for some years so I can read it. But for you out there that cant.. Just ignore that and listen to the music. Anyway.. the lyrics are about the same things as most lyrics in anyother language.. Love and living… Can´t find anything about him driving a Saab though.. But that would be a lovesong too i guess
Haven’t heard of the guy, but the car is lovely!
As for the rear legroom, the ‘vert has much more than what that pic shows. They must have put the seats all the way bacl and swiveled the rear of the seat as far back as possible too. The only reason I can think of was to probably get a better pic of the dash.
For even more legroom you can go for this 9-5:
