A long-lost Saab-Hummer link!!
And you thought Saab and Hummer were only tied by their forced relationship in GM showrooms!!
This eyesore is for sale right now on Ebay Italy. It’s a Hummer H1 prototype that was shown at the Geneva Motor Show back in 2000 by an Italian design house. Just like the real Hummer H1, it’s huge and rather ugly.
So what’s the Saab link?
The Italian design house that drew this car up is none other than Coggiola, and it was Sergio Coggiola who did the basic drawings that were later refined in Sweden to become the Saab Sonett III.
Thankfully the Sonett III looks rather beautiful, because I’ve rarely seen any other work from Coggiola that I’ve liked. In previous posts covering the man we’ve discovered the way he really wanted the Sonett III to look, as well as the monstrosity underneath.

Let’s just thank Mr Coggiola for his contribution be leave it limited to a coupe back in the 1970’s eh?
Oh, and if you’re interested in the Coggiummer, they’re asking 499,999 Euros for it over at Ebay. At least it’s unique
Hat tip to Autoblog.

This is horrible! How do you find everything?
Hummer?? It looks like a Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Cool Sonett! Anybody know if the engine is the V4 or something else?
Oh, regarding the priceindication.. That has got to be 499 Euros 99 cents.. haha
My eyes are bleeding!
