Swedish sales data - February 2008
It’s mixed news from Sweden once again in February 2008.
The Saab 9-3 continues to sell well but the 9-5’s inevitable slide is continuing. That new model can’t come soon enough.
——
Saab Sweden sold 1094 units of the Saab 9-3 in February. This was a 40.1% rise over the same month last year.
So far in 2007, there’s been 2,229 sales, which provides for a similar rise of 41.9% for the year so far. Market share this year is 5.8% compared with 3.8% at this time last year.
This all looks great, but it was in March last year that BioPower versions of the Saab 9-3 started to kick in. Look for these monthly and yearly rises for the 9-3 to level out in coming months.
Of the 1094 9-3s sold, 750 were BioPower and 273 were Diesel.
——
Saab also sold 668 units of the Saab 9-5 in February 2008, which represents a fall of 24.7% compared with the same month last year.
Sales for the year so far total 1,362 and that’s a fall of 26.8%.
The Saab 9-5 has slipped from #4 on the Swedish sales list to #5.
Of the 668 9-5s sold, 559 were BioPower and 94 were Diesel.
——
Total sales for February were 1,762, compared with 1,668 last year.
So far in 2008, Saab sales number 3,591 in 2008, compared with 3,433 last year.

The Cadillac BLS has gone off!!! It’s BLS-mania over there.
There were 86 units of the BLS sold in February - a 378% rise!

The BLS sales has got to be the wagon. Kinda looks good. And a great car since it´s built in Trollhättan!
You forget that they sold two 9-7x in February in Sweden, making it a total of seven for 2008.
Ouch - looks like there were more Saab sales last month in Sweden than in the whole US - WSJ
How long until XWD ships?
