Saturday Snippets – photo edition

I saw a car like this in Trollhattan last year and it was brilliant.

The body kit’s a bit bigger on this one, but here’s what a Viggen may have looked like in white:

White Viggen

That ‘Viggen’ shot and the following shot of the Speedparts-PA Johansson creation – the Turbo XR – came from SaabRobz’s Flickr account.

Actually, there’s a heck of a lot of incredibly good Saab photos there. You should check it out.

This is cool.

Whenever I see a shot like this now I’ll think of Ted Y. Click here to read why.

Saab 96

SOTW – Home Sweet Home featured a shot of Vector220′s place and in comments, someone rightly asked about the Saab that was closer to the house. Here’s a better shot to show that one, kind of…..

Saab Sweden

And finally…..

Robin M gets a perverse pleasure out of taunting me with images of pink Saabs :-)

This one’s actually for sale if anyone feels like punishing themselves. The description writes the car up as “stunning” which I guess isn’t completely inaccurate. I know I’d be stunned if I saw it on the street.

  1. Looking at those photos from Vector220 makes me yearn to visit Sweden in the wintertime. Beautiful.

  2. Saabyurk: It’s easy to find the way.
Start at the point we all know wer it is: Trollhättan
Go 700 km north, take to the left and then go another 105 km and that’s it! You are loking at the most southern glacier in Sweden and the highest montiuns south of the polat circel.

Tell me when you are arriving and I will point out an affordable and a pretty OK appartment. Not a suit but…an OK place to stay.

  3. The pink convertible would work well for an advertising campaign, but would be difficult to sell after the fact. Such an odd color severely limits the number of people who will be interested.

By the way, I saw a convertible 900/9-3 with the license plate “DR FRINK” yesterday near Vine Street and Rt. 2 in Willoughby, Ohio. Anybody here own it?

    …like Peptol Bismol?
