Saab O The Week - March 17

It really should be a Saab from Ireland featuring today, but alas….

For the second day in a row, a Saab from São Paulo, Brazil. Yesterday it was a Saab 93 and today, a beautiful black 900 Turbo.

Saab 900

Given that I’ve only registered a handful of visitors from South America, it’s understandable that both the 93 and the 900 come from the same photographer on Flickr.

I’d be really interested in finding out what sort of Saab following there is there. There’s obviously something. Either that or our photographer has uncovered the only two Saab fans in town. Somehow I don’t think so.

And or those with wider interests, there’s a whole portfolio of excellent GM shots by the same guy. Click here.

Got to get me one soon! It´s so beutiful. The downside in Sweden is rust.. Not many rustfree 900´s here anymore. Might have a look into the german market.

      Hi,

I’m relly glad to see one of my pictures in here.
GM has brought some units of SAAB 900 and SAAB 9000 to Brazil during 90’s. However without a consistent strategy SAAB brand was discontinued in the following year.

This 900 of the picture is one onf the “official” units brought by GM. For sure there must be many others spread allover the country.

The pictures of 900 nad 93 were taken during a search for swedish model in Brazil for a swedish magazine.

I used to work for GM Brazil until 2002 and I’m a GM enthusiast. This 900 of the picture is owned by a brazilian GM engineer which is connected to another SAAB engineer, both passionate by SAAB, of course.

      Thanks for sharing my picture.

      Best regards,

      Manzano
