Last time we saw this car, it was blowing a pfoofer valve whilst recording 476hp on the dyno.

Kaylan advises me it’s all running OK again. She had in on the dyno again recently and recorded another 470+ run, but they were having trouble keeping it in place. The expected output will be around 500hp once they get it all sorted.

Here’s some pics that came in a few days ago. Click to enlarge.

Yes, it’s only got 2 doors. Yes, that’s a real Saab engine in there and yes, those are the new Incas on each corner. A most unique Saab that you can see more of here.

And if you’re wondering if a girl can handle all that power (you sexist person, you), then wonder no more. Kaylan – licenced drag racer!!

Hi everyone and a happy Easter!
Does anyone know where the donate button is? The Easter bunny wanted to support its favourite website but couldn’t find the button … Thanks!

    Kaylan ROOOOOOOOCKS!!!!!!!!!!

In all due respect, i would have made
the 9k more low key by not sporting
any stickers, while showin’ a little muscle
in the form of dual exhaust. Who am i
to talk, my car’s running about 130hp.

    ;-) :-)

    Thanks Robin m!
And thank you Swade for an excellent blog!

Dual exhausts are for 6cylinders! That would be ricey, not “muscle”!

As for the stickers those don’t stay. The HP connections on was put on about two days ago while on the dyno and the MIDNIGHT one just doesn’t want to come off so I have to deal with that when I bring it back home again. It also needs attention to the rear windows, more attention to the tune for daily driving, and I have a bunch of parts stock piled in my closet that haven’t been installed yet! I just cant keep up anymore! I am proud of what its become so far but in the future much more is to come!

    Kaylan Marie: You go girl!!

Oy, that’s a lot of work!!!! I can’t even find the time to replace the freakin’ ball joints on my 900, much less come up with this!!

    Kaylan for president!!!

Hmmm… one other, actually, two other questions:

The car has been repainted since we saw it last, correct? wasn’t it a deep purple/eggplant color?

Did you shorten the wheelbase or is the rear door simply fixed in place and refinished? The earlier shots made me think that the car was shortened, but this full shot makes me think that it’s the “normal” length.

OK, one other question: so what tires are on the car? transmitting that power to the pavement through the front wheels has to be difficult. Inquiring minds want to know…

  • 13 Kaylan Marie // Mar 25, 2008 at 1:33 am

Hmm a couple things… Has anyone else been proposed to and voted for president in the same comments section before?? ;) hehe thanks guys for the nice comments!

Eggs- No the wheel base was NOT shortened. I think thats too dangerous when building a race/track car and certaintly saab can build a better chassis than I could. ;)

Its been repainted yes but it is in its original factory color from saab. black. Its never been purple!!!

The tires are GENERAL’s. Great tire especially for the money and it had the best raitings on tirerack.com for ultra performance tires. They are “Y” rated which is the highest for speed! I also have a custom built transmission in the car with a LSD of course. Traction is actually no problem at all except when its strapped to the dyno it likes to spin tires after it hits about 475-476WHP. We are going to tune it again tomorrow so maybe some new photos then. Thanks for everyones support!
