Nikolasha tells us in comments that all 30 Turbo X’s bound for Russia have been sold already!

German publication Der Spiegel have a writeup on Saab, including the Turbo X. It’s in German so you may not be able to read it, but even if you can’t you cn still scroll down and listen to the soundbites of the engine and a few other bits and pieces.
Cool.

In corresponding with Willy D about his successful Saab Pride entry, he mentioned that there’s been six Turbo X’s ordered in Hawaii – Aloha!!

Thanks to Iain M for linking me up with the Saab GB site for the Turbo X, which has some great graphics and a turbo education minisite as well. It features Saab’s “Mr Turbo” – Per Gillbrand – explaining the turbocharger over 30 years ago. It’s a clip from the British test of the Saab 99 Turbo, one of my favourite pieces.
I think the video’s featured elsewhere, too, but it’s always good to see again.

I don’t mean to brag, but check out where you land when you Google “Saab Turbo X”:

That story is actually the initial photos of the car that broke just before the Frankfurt Motor Show. It’s linked up, however, with the comprehensive entry that’s got all you need to know about the Turbo X.
And it’s getting excellent referral traffic.
A word for SaabUSA if I may – you really ought to get someone to look at what’s being picked up as your excerpt. That OnStar reference is just wrong.
Brag on Brother Swade…Brag on
.
All 15 Turbo X’s destined for Norway is also reported sold. Now Saab Norway has started pushing the 9-3 Aero XWD.
I should also mention that the starting price in Norway for the 9-3 Aero XWD is NOK 819400, which equals abt EUR 106000 and $157500. For that price you can also get a Porsche Cayman…
I am waiting….
My deliverydate is 2008-04-04.
Arild,
That price is just INSANE!! Go over to Sweden and buy the same car for 364,900 SEK instead.
Glad to hear the traffic’s picked up- I’m sure it’s providing a much-needed boost, so to speak. Fill those coffers!
Hopefully you’ll eventually take up the top three search spots- that’d boost the traffic even more since most people stop looking after the first few links. “Your choices are TS, TS, or TS. OnStar is a distant fourth.”
Still no pricing for Canada. Every other country in the world has it – except us! GM Canada probably doesnt know what a Turbo X is.
Glad I don’t live in Norway! YIKES!! You can buy an Aston Martin V8 for less than that in Canada – or three 903 2.0T ‘verts. Or an M5 with a 9-3 2.0T. WOW!!
there is one thing mentioned in the SPIEGEL article: “Noch vor dem 9-4X bringt Saab zwei weitere Neuheiten. Im Frühjahr 2009 wird es eine Lifestyle-Variante des 9-3 Kombi geben, die im Stil der Wolfsburger Cross-Modelle etwas mehr Bodenfreiheit und ein bisschen Abenteuer-Optik bekommt.”
Even before the 9-4X comes out, there’ll be an offroad-model of the 9-3 SC!!??
Has anybody heard of that before?
