With thanks to Jürg, here’s some new Saab ads that’ll be appearing shortly in Switzerland. The purpose of the new ads is to show some innovative points of difference and it’ll be used online as well as in print, direct mail and point of sale.
The text is in German so I can’t read it, but I’m pretty sure this first one is for the TTiD engine.
The next two should be pretty self-explanatory. Click to enlarge.

If anybody at GM wants to know how to sell more Saab cars…just talk to your friends in Switzerland and do what they are dooing.

Given Saab’s target demographic, one would think wit (i.e., these ads) would be used more often than just carpet bombing using tired tag lines (i.e., “Born from Jets”, “Saab was founded by 16 aircraft engineers”, “Born from Jets”, “Saab was founded by 16 aircraft engineers”…). But then, that just may be me.
Great ads. Would love to see more of these in the US.

Sounds good, hopefully they can get these out in all countries then Saab could be laughing all the way to the bank…..?

I think it’s amazing that Europe gets all these great Saab ads and great looking Saab websites while Saab USA gets stuck with ads that are fit for a Chevy.
So note to Saab USA, run these through Babelfish and get them into the newspapers and magazines that Saab’s educated, well off customer base actually reads.

LP, “carpet bombing”? Were you Born From Jets?

So, is the XWD 9-3 availble in europe already? Or is it an ad for pre-order?
I am having a difficult time reading the slogan under the griffin emblema, but I think it says “move your mind” and not “born from jets”….

Yes, it says “move your mind”
