The storms were worst 60 miles (100km) to the West in Jackson, Tennessee and 40 miles (65km) to the North in Castallian Springs, Tennessee (near Gallatin). Our place was fine — in fact, very little rain.

Very, very unlikely I know, but one might be surprised... For example, there were a couple tornadoes that touched down in the UK this past year... and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah- a mountainous area, not known at all for tornadoes. Yet several years ago a twister touched down and destroyed numerous houses, trees, and other property, and even ripped part of the roof off the Delta Center, where the Utah Jazz (NBA team) play. It was a completely unexpected event- everyone was dumbfounded at all the damage. So...I never quite rule Mother Nature out. :P At any rate- glad to hear Eggs and family are doing well- hope the community puts the pieces back together soon.
