Hi all,

I know a few were concerned about the welfare of our fellow Saab blogger, given the storms that lashed through Tennessee and other spots in the southern US. Our man Eggs n Grits lives not too far from Nashville and given that we hadn’t heard from him either by email or phone, Gripen and I were starting to get a little concerned, too.

I received an email from the Eggmeister this morning and the storm passed their place with nary a scratch. It was actually some miles away.

All are well, and I presume that includes the convertible and the 9-5 as well as the wife and kids :-)

Great to hear” I got kinda scared as a kid when watching the old Wizard from Oz, and have ever since been scared of tornados…So I’m lucky that I live in Sweden. :)

Well, I wouldn’t entirely lower your guard, CTM. Very, very unlikely I know, but one might be surprised…

For example, there were a couple tornadoes that touched down in the UK this past year… and I live in Salt Lake City, Utah- a mountainous area, not known at all for tornadoes. Yet several years ago a twister touched down and destroyed numerous houses, trees, and other property, and even ripped part of the roof off the Delta Center, where the Utah Jazz (NBA team) play. It was a completely unexpected event- everyone was dumbfounded at all the damage. So…I never quite rule Mother Nature out. :P

At any rate- glad to hear Eggs and family are doing well- hope the community puts the pieces back together soon.

All: MANY THANKS!!! I appreciate the concern a great deal.

I’ve been in California this week in an 18-hour-a-day work junket and haven’t read the site in three-four days. Sorry for the lack of communication.

The storms were worst 60 miles (100km) to the West in Jackson, Tennessee and 40 miles (65km) to the North in Castallian Springs, Tennessee (near Gallatin). Our place was fine — in fact, very little rain.

PS: I like the remodelling. Good-looking.

    eggs,

You had us a little concerned there for a bit. I didnt realise how devastated your part of the world was until I saw the news yesterday lunchtime. Glad you and yours are all okay. :)
