Site stats - January 2008
Greetings from February. All of you who are still stuck in January as you read this - come on over, the water’s fine!
There were 152 new entries here at Trollhattan Saab in January 2008, including much about the Detroit Auto Show and the Saab 9-4x BioPower concept.
By a long margin, the most commented on item was the article showing the first pictures of the 9-4x, which received 174 comments. Other high-interest posts included:
- Joti’s Saab 9-4x improvement
Saab 9-1 news from Aftonbladet
The Saab 9-4x will be good
Pollhattan Saab: Future badging for Saab models
Mismanaging the Saab Turbo X?
Something’s got to change around here….
Perception is 9/10ths of Saab’s reality
Saab Turbo X -vs- Saab 9-3 Aero XWD
The site served 250,312 pages during January, an average of 8,075 pages per day to 4,489 individual users per day. This was no-doubt boosted by the release of the Saab 9-4x BioPower concept and the interest it created, which was considerable.
Here’s the info from the department of charts and graphs:

I have to warn devotees of the 2-column layout that I may be reverting back to the 3-column for a while, just to get a feel for the effect it will have on the site.
It’s a constant evolution around here…..

The stats for this January are much better than the stats for last January. The site topped out at 6k hits last year, and that’s about where this year bottoms out. Not too bad!
I notice the text in the left (main) pane is smaller now. Is this the three column format again? I see only two columns though. I thought the three column format was where you have ads on the left and right panes with the posts in the middle section?
I’m glad I have a 19″ monitor as this is about as small as the text can get where I’m still comfortable reading it. I’d hate to be reading this on my laptop or an iPhone or something!
No, this is just a different text size, which I might make a shade bigger.
I’m reading this on a laptop with a 15.4″ monitor, and it looks fine. I actually prefer this smaller text.
Jeff: you’re young still, right?
