Saab Pride - Austrian Style!!
It’s time to add yet another country to the Saab Pride of Ownership list - Austria!! Some spectacular scenery there.
Today’s competition entry comes from Peter and he writes as follows.
——
The first picture was set up in fall in Piber, western Styria, Austria.
“Piber lies nestled in the idyllic hilly landscape in western Styria. Here, the Piber Federal Stud puts the knowledge and experience in breeding and special techniques for raising and training its Lipizzan horses it has gained in over four centuries into breeding horses that possess the unique qualities that have made them world famous at Vienna’s Spanish Riding School”
There are also thermal springs that support a near spa with healing water.
The car:
It´s a 2003 SAAB 9-3 Arc 1.8t Sentr. in Steel Grey Metallic. 76000km. Before that I had a 9000 CSE. The only extras are the Xenon headlights and the park distance control. On the boot lid you may recognise the white griffin with the domain from the Austrian Saabforum I´m member of. (www.swedcarforum.at)
This picture is from the mountains you can´t directly see in picture one, but they are in the same direction just behind the last trees you can see. It´s a small skiing area called Gaberl with a wonderful view and it´s really nice to drive up there (beside the salt and dirt on the car in winter like on the picture).Specially the Xenon headlights are amazing when it´s snowing or it´s foggy. The 9-3 is the perfect car for that kind of road (I was also driving there with VW, BMW, Volvo,…could be an extra story for I drove a XXX and here’s……). The road is the same where I spotted the new 9-3 convertible in yellow back in May. They knew why to drive there

Saabs always look better in a snowy setting, like they are at home there.
you have a beautiful car! the first pic looks straight out of a painting.
