Saab parking problems? Get a vehicle turntable!!
This isn’t a Saab story, per se, but it involves a Saab and I just couldn’t resist.
What do you do when parking and maneuvering in your Scottish street becomes too congested? You exhibit patience. And then after that’s worn out you install a giant turntable to spin your car around so you’re always facing the right way!
Unfortunately the pic doesn’t enlarge. But that’s just beautiful.
James Simpson, a conservation architect, and his wife, Ann, a curator, said the turntable revolved so easily their Saab behaved like a wind vane in strong gusts when parked there.
But they have an oak wedge to stop the car spinning of its own accord, if required.
I want one!
I think have to put an Apple Records, or maybe a Sun Studios label in the middle

That is truly a cool thing.
People have gone for these turntables as, I think, the law makes it illegal to reverse onto the road from your driveway.
Funnily enough my neighbour applied for one at another property of his as part of a planning application to turn a disused telephone exchange into a home but it was refused. Just down the road someone else applied for one as part of a development that was also on a very small plot.
That’s pretty sweet, and a big ol’ apple would indeed be awesome.
