Saab Discoveries - Your Input Requested

I’ve known of this Saab marketing newsletter for a some time, and I’ve always assumed that it’s nothing to really get excited about. Saab Discoveries is marketed to Saab dealers and service centers here in the United States as a mailer to stimulate business.

Is anyone on the mailing list for a dealer or service provider that distributes Saab Discoveries? If so, I would be interested in your thoughts about the publication and the general value.

Eggs- sorry I can’t help with this one. Speaking of Saab publications…I used to get Saab Soundings, from the late ’80’s until it was terminated. After that I began to receive Saab Magazine (in 2000 I believe?), and after 3 issues it stopped. I had assumed the publication was canceled, but apparently this is not the case? I’ve written to Saab USA via the US website in an attempt to subscribe, and they told me the publication was not available to me. Does anyone know if this is true? Is the publication for Europe only? I’m definitely NOT feeling the love!

Any “saab” magazine that gives it’s cover to the 9-7x isn’t worth the paper it’s printed on.

the only literature i get from saab comes in the form of e-brochures, from saab-i and saabautomobileusa. i miss saab magazine. the edition introducing the 9x is my favorite. ah, such happy memories.

I receive the discoveries newsletter but don’t really find it useful. It’s basically fancy advertising. It’s really similar to the Saab marketing newsletter (again, not terrible useful) but on back page it has dealer information such as contact info, hours of operation, and coupons. Lets say I don’t eagerly anticipate its arrival.

CW: Many thanks! As I suspected. Something like this could be so useful, yet most of the time they are so watered down. EnG

I get this mailer from the dealer. I like the information it carries about Saab products, though. I get most of my information from here.
I liked the Saab magazine far better. As usual, that got cut out. I lked it because it up dated you on product and made you feel part of something special. GM CUT THAT OUT. Please note, lexus, volvo mb and bmw all still have a version of this magazine.

I have received the newsletter for the last two years. I enjoy getting it and keep the copies posted to my office bulletin board, however most of the information is not overly useful. I already get the information from TS, so I am ahead of the mailing curve.

I am the Marketing Manager at a Saab dealership (and Volvo dealerships) in South Central PA.
We send these to our customers, and customize content with a couple of our own stories and service coupons.
If you are an enthusiast there really isn’t anything ground-breaking, but it is nicely done, and our customers look forward to recieving it.
This is only sent out quarterly, so the next one will have news that we all know. Still, some decent articles in the Spring Issue.
