Am I late or something?
I set the alarm for 8am. That might sound late-ish, but given that I’m not feeling remotely close to sleep until around 3am I thought it was fair.
I wandered downstairs for a breath of fresh air and there’s people everywhere, fully coiffed and ready, wandering around in suits and everything!!
Don’t they know the Saab presentation isn’t until 11.30?
What?
There’s stuff other than Saab here?

Time to hit the showers, then….

Good Morning Steven
No shorts today, or?
dont forget the camera
get there early. it’ll be packed–for lunch, that is.
Looking forward to your report and seeing some pictures from the show. Sounds like it is an exciting day in Motor City.
Check out the Saab International Site, it just launched the 9-4X, with some cool flash.

yehh thats a cool website… hope the car is as good
Saab USA has alittle info up as well: http://www.saabusa.com/saabjsp/concepts/index.jsp
if you look on the pictures of interior behind Anthony Lo there some differences compared to concept visible. Like the switches left of steering wheel.
Auto Motor and Sport Sweden has already posted from Detroit, and they met Swade also. For an SUV it does not look too bad, like a Rexton or something like that…
And in the meantime… :

From the Swedish Auto Motor & Sport:
“Steven Wade, responsible for the enthusiast site trollhattansaab.org, is in Detroit and as the hard-to-please Australian he is he finds it difficult to like everything:
- “Well…,” Steven says with a hesitation. -”I like some details, but it is not really good looking. Better than in pictures, but not good-looking.”
Two hours later Steven is back, and admits he now likes it more and more:
- “It grows on you,” Steven says, “now I definitely like it better. But I don’t have a taste for SUVs, that could be the problem. But the interior is fantastic!”

go, swade, go! love the quotables.
I feel for you. I can’t stand being that jetlagged. Count yourself lucky you don’t have a migraine due to the jetlag.
Thanks for all the updates, but I’d feel better knowing you’re using ‘blogging time to sleep.
Holy crap, I thought ctm was joking. Auto Motor & Sport really DO quote you, Swade! It’s like you’re a tastemaker or something. I thought it was pretty amazing when you got in the newspaper by Steve Shannon’s mention of you, or when they covered you in the newspaper when you were in Trollhattan, but this is pretty amazing.
The only sad thing: they got your ‘blog URL wrong. They put .org instead of .net.
Oh, true, they did get the URL wrong! I didn’t noticed it when translating.

Anyway, just woke up. Let’s say that there is a lot to read on TS for me now. It’s gonna be a looong breakfast…
