Aussie Viggen ‘vert - with ‘tude

Well, when someone here in the US refers to something as Victorian, it usually means that it’s much too conservative and a bit uptight.

Well, this Victorian doesn’t fit that bill. For sure.

Great stuff from Mugley.

What a beaut! Love that deep shine. I’ve always liked that color. Very much a definitive Viggen color.

(Now, is it me or do the wheels need some attention to match the rest of the car? They just seem dirty or something.)

      Cheers,

      Hey hey all!

This is actually my car and I can’t describe how happy I am about it so far!!

As far as the wheels PGAero…………3 of the 4 chrome wheels aren’t (and weren’t when I bought it 2 months ago) chromed any longer….they’re simply matte?! Frusterating!! I suspect someone used a cleaning solution that removed the chrome finish? And learned their lesson after 3 of 4………I’m open to any tips on how to fix it!

      Thanks for the comments guys!

TBP: Somewhere here Swade has a story about his Viggen wheels and what they went through to get back into good trim, but I can’t find it to save my life.

Click some of the links to the side here for various sites taht have good information — I happen to favor saabcentral.com.

Let us know about the full story of the car if you get the chance!

Actually needed a car to get to my new job and started poking around……at another Saab…my family has had 5, with my next purchase looking to be the 6th. I stumbled upon the on carsales.com.au and my jaw dropped?! This car used to be my desktop background…and rarely are desktop background cars available in your lifetime in a price range you can afford?!

So I test drove i the next day and well……the rest is history. This Viggen was brought over as the Saab Demo model and had a single owner after that life, it’s got 148k on it so far and when I’m done it….it will have ALOT more.

I’d still like ot dig out as much info on this specific car as I can ie. how many Viggen convertibles were made, how many were brought to Aus (I read somewhere there were 40 in 99?) and which # mine might be?!

Any questions lemme know, more than happy to talk about it allll ddaayyyyy!
