2.8l 280hp high-output turbo?
100hp/litre is not high output. The 2.0T in the base US 9-3 and the 2.3T in the 9-5 both have higher output per litre.
Maybe they are comparing it to a 9-7 (or a Hyundai).
SportCombi:
29.7 / 841 (rear seat up, luggage cover in place);
72.3 / 2047 (rear seat down, no luggage cover)
Sorry, but that can not be right.
2047 Liter is actually more than an Mercedes E wagon.
If I remeber correctely the 9-5 wagon has a cargo volume of 1490 L / 52,5 cu ft
Hey Bernard…..Typical negative”nothing is ever good enough “response!
Lance,
I’m not saying that the engine isn’t good enough (hard to tell, since the car isn’t due for almost six months), I’m saying that the marketing is ironic. 100hp/l would be considered “high output” for most makes, but for Saab it’s nothing new.
I must confess that I would prefer if the Turbo-X used the 130hp/l direct injection engine that Saab makes for Chevrolet instead, but I’m sure it will show up in a Saab eventually.
I wish it was a slightly tuned 4cyl instead of a v-6.
I just like the whlz!
Nice and fast , saab safety and one of the only really good looking saabs.
