Given that Saab have now officially done a minor introduction to the MY08 Saab 9-3, the mainstream motoring press is giving it considerable coverage.
Here’s a quick look at who’s saying what:
—–
The Car Connection gives a basic slight re-vamp of the Saab press release.
Carpages goes one step lamer and just publishes the press release alone.
Edmunds summarises their entry with Sharper looks, more Saab-like feel. Looks good to us. It should be noted by any US readers, however, that they seem to have taken their cue from a Euro press release rather than the US one. There’s no mention anywhere of diesel and E85, which is what Edmunds have included in their writeup.
AutoCar express thanks that it hasn’t got the Dame Edna look of the 9-5.
Finally, CAR Magazine from the UK go a whole lot further than the press release, and everyone else, and mention the anticipated Black Turbo, slighting the Viggen as they go (may the hairs on their bum turn into fish hooks and rip the s**t out of them!!). It looks like they’ve also reversed a few of the photos to make them look different to everyone else’s. A very enthusiastic effort.

That’s all I’ve had time to look at up to now. I’m sure there’s plenty of Euro-coverage going on as well and perhaps some of you Eurovisitors might fill us all in through comments.
My over all impression so far is that it’s been very well received, which is a great start.

I’m guessing they reversed a few of the photos to make them look like english right hand drive models. looks very good.

The photos on the Saab GB press release are the Swedish photos, reversed, with a GB registration plate 15 AAB slapped on it.
