All help welcome: mirror buttons
This question arrived via email and I’m kind of curious myself.
Anyone know what these buttons on the rear-view mirror of the BioPower100 concept vehicle are for?
Replies welcome in comments….

Garage door remotes
these are Homelink to open your garage door….same as on 9-3SS
Never heard of it. Is it a US thing? Do you get that installed by Saab?
My wife’s 9-3 has them, we have one of the buttons set for the garage door. They came standard on the MY 2003 9-3 arc.
The upper right corner is outside the picture but it is very likely that there also is an compass in the mirror. Here is a picture from Sweden (ctm) showing the compass.

It’a a Donnely self-dimming rear-view mirror with compass and universal transmitter.
Hi guys! Yes, it is the Homelink system to open the garage door. It is standard on the 9-3 Aero and 9-5.
This rear view mirror is only available on the US-Models of the 9-5 and 9-3.
I’ve mounted one of them in my viggen, here is a picture: http://www.garaget.org/?car=767&image=348483

Oh come on, we all know it’s the ejector seat button
[someone had to cough this one up ;-)]
Missiles, Spike Strip, Oil Slick. (On no particular order)

Yes, we know. and there are 6 of them, one masterswitch and 5 individual buttons, scattered around in the interior on a ergonomic basis, in order to allow the co-pilot and all other crewmembers to get out when not satisfied with the driving style of the pilot.
Afterburner exhaust bay door opens, intake allows 100 octane fuel stash to be accessed, and the last one is for the from canards and delta wing.
EVERYONE knows the ejector seat button is located conveniently on the back of the steering wheel.
Not only for the US market but also the swedish, standard on a 9-5 vector kombi 2.3t 2002 MY 2003 and the compas in the mirror also as a standard, maybe in combination with a pilot pack or so.
I wish we had Monte Carlo Viggens in the USA…
These buttons also came on the 9-3s for Canada. I have an ‘04 Aero with them. They work very well indeed.
