The formula 1 world is following the GM-Renault-Nissan talks very closely and reporting this as “major news”. Any formal arrangement of some sort will have a huge impact on Renault's longer term commitment to F1. Prior to these talks Carlos Ghosn has openly declared that Renault's participation in this sport will have a future so long as they are winning. The prospect of this alliance will position Renault in the same league as Mercedes and in some ways Ferrari having the huge backing of a major Car maker consortium. For Saab this could also mean major changes in the way the brand will be handled. We hope a lot better than at present !!!!

There was some loose stuff in Swedish press today about this. Ghosn was quoted saying that he do not want to be running a third comapny (after Renault and Nissan). Seems like statement that can change in a second. Also, the review of the the whole thing is to be conducted over a 90 day period.
