How old is this survey and eggsngrits has a good point about what is ‘design’? MB near the top, luxury Germanised Kias if you ask me, UGH! The 06 9-5 would have taken Saab down a little further I think, this is why I dont reckon this survery is new.

Doesnt it speak volumes when Saab decided against putting the 9-5 nose onto the 07 9-3?

I haven’t gone back to the Autoblog source, but I think it’s a fairly superficial type of definition. Styling, design. How satisfied are you with the way your car looks?

That sort of thing.

And yes, I think people who buy boring cars are definitely easier to please.

I think there’s a language issue at play here — what do you consider ‘design’? I assume that their studies asked specific questions to confirm this concept, but there are a few surprises on the list. Chrysler, for one, with their track record of the last three or four years should be nearer the top. Jeep and Chevrolet, too. On the other hand, I’d rank Lincoln and Acura/Honda much lower.

Very sharp observation about upending the list for the quality scores. Hmmm…does this mean that people who buy boring cars are easier to please?
