Tasmanian Saab Club Day

Hmmmm.
Another rooster in the hen house….

It’’s nice having what I believe to be the only Viggen here in Tasmania. It’s even better when there’s another down here on holiday and they can have a chance to play together!
The Tassie branch of the Saab Car Club of Australia had a casual Sunday drive event today [...]

The Ice Experience

Remember the antler guy?
I’m unsure if this was a competition, a bookable trip or a giveaway for select customers. Whatever it is, grab hold of the opportunity should it come your way.
It’s the Saab Ice Experience.

UK Saab owners Robin and Kerry got the opportunity to head north and have some fun in the sun [...]

Hmmmm, no sales event (part 2)

It had to come….
A few days ago I reported that Chrysler had fired the first shot in the USA summer sales war. GM had vowed not to drop prices in a scheme like the Employee Pricing Scheme of 2005.

GM unveiling Plug-In in January?

I’ve been persisiting with the story about the Saab Biopower hybrid being hushed up as a plug-in hybrid for exactly this reason. One day the whole GM plug-in thing was going to come back…..

The Aero-X will be there, as will the Biopower Hybrid (it’s a plugin, shhhhh) 9-3 Convertible concept.
In keeping with Saab’s recent tradition of announcing something new at nearly every motor [...]

Antler guy?

Any ideas as to what this guy’s doing, or captions for the photo are welcome in comments. It’s 12.24 a.m. here so I’ll explain tomorrow.

Cars.com 9-5 review

Dave Thomas, formerly of Autoblog and MPH magazine, shot me an email yesterday. He’s now writing for www.cars.com and has just finished a test run in the 2006 9-5 SportCombi (or SportWagon as it’s known in some other markets).
It’s an interesting review that surprises in some parts and confirms some thoughts in others…

The new [...]

Australia Through!!

That was one of the more bizarre sporting contests I’ve ever seen:
2 penalties not paid
1 dud goalkeeper (nothing wrong with our No1 goalie, so I don’t know why he even got on the park
1 referee on drugs
1 fantastic result.
