My apologies for not getting this up sooner, but I didn’t have a file big enough to get this done properly. All fixed now.

The April 2006 Saab O The Week calendar is an exercise in self-indulgence. But what an indulgence!!

This is my Viggen, photographed on the banks of the Derwent River here in Hobart with Mount Wellington silhouetted against a fading sky. The photo(s) were taken by a mate of mine, Stu, who is an absolute genius with a camera.

The wallpaper is available in two sizes:

1024 x 768 – View image

800 x 600 – View image

For those that are wondering, yes there is some photoshop involved here, but not as much as you’d think. As the light was fading, Stu took one shot set up to get the background correctly exposed, then one more shot set up to get the car correctly exposed. Both shots were taken within a minute of each other. Back at home and on to the PC, he took the good car and laid it onto the good background. The numberplate has been “Viggened” as well.

Swade, great image. If I am on the correct path, I think your Viggen should have the same stats as my MY01 9-5 Aero – 169kW and 350 Nm stock standard from the factory. Am I correct?

You beauty! I’ve been waiting for this one. Thanks

Danni, I don’t have the numbers at hand, nor stuck in my head, but the Nm is right and I think the kW might be a little more than mine. For some reason 162 kW seems to stick in my mind.

All my documentation is packed away awaiting our moving house next week.
