That looks like heaps of fun. What a great road. What a great car. Nice driving too.

Saab is such a good fit for the WRC but I bet it doesn’t happen unless we get a new owner. It would be awesome for Saabs profile. All the leading carmakers have some kind of motorsport connection with a factory team of some description. I guess we get NASCAR…….great racing but not the same.

REM — you are right! I’ve never really thought about this before, but AUDI (there they are again, Swade) did it with the Quattro, and that turned out pretty well.

The car is basically a tube chassis with 9-3 bodypanels in carbonfibre… everyhing is custom made.

What makes this even more impressive for the uninitiated is that the elevation of Pike’s Peak is 14,000+ feet (4300+ meters).

My 1986 900S (16V N/A) was running out of breath near the top of the ‘civilian’ road that ends very near the peak.
